Storm Acquire Kolbeins from the Cougars

The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce that 1996 born Dom Kolbeins has been acquired from the Victoria Cougars for future considerations.

Last year with the Cougars, the 5’7”, 155 pound, forward had a productive season. He was a key component in the team’s success, capturing the league championship and a Silver medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup. On an individual note, he finished third in the VIJHL scoring race with 83 points and was named one of two game stars in the Cyclone Taylor Cup Gold medal game.

The former Campbell River Tyee played 20 games with the Storm in the 2013-14 season. Between the VIJHL and NPHL, Kolbeins has played 170 Junior games and accumulated an impressive 232 points (101 goals, 131 assists). In his last two seasons with Victoria and West Sound (Bremerton, Washington), he averaged 1.9 points per game.

Kolbeins will be in the Storm line-up on Friday against the Oceanside Generals.
