Storm Acquire Craddock from Alberta

Tuesday, December 27, 2016

The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club are pleased to announce the acquisition of ’97 defenceman Kyle Craddock from the NWJHL North Peace Navigators for future considerations.

According to Storm General Manager, Lee Stone, “Finding a right handed defenseman was priority #1 for us going into the Christmas break and to find one with the playoff and Keystone Cup experience like Kyle has made it a no brainer to complete the deal.” He added, “Kyle should help produce offense from the back end and as can be seen with his playoff production, doesn’t shy away when space is at a premium in the playoffs.

Craddock, who has Junior ‘A experience in the AJHL and SJHL, is used to winning. The Navs have been NWJHL Champions the past two years as well as the Alberta Champions last season that found Bronze at the Keystone Cup.

The 6’ 1”, 165 pounder from Peace River, Alberta, has some touch around the net averaging a little over a point per game in his three years with the North Peace Navigators. He can also be tough when called upon averaging over 105 penalty minutes per season.

Kyle is thrilled to make the move to the Island, “I’m excited to be joining a team that has had so much success in the past and am looking forward to helping in the success of the team in the future.

The Campbell River Storm return to action on Friday, January 6, 2017, against the Oceanside Generals at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
