The Campbell River Storm have acquired 1998 born defenceman Dayton Keith. The 6’2” 190 pounder started this season with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Keith, from Comox, played last year with the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and Oceanside Generals before making the move to Junior A.

I’m a two-way defenceman, offensive at times, with skating as my strong suit,” said Keith when asked about his style of play.

Having visited the Rod Brind’Amour Arena as an opposition player, Keith is thrilled at the prospect of playing in front of Storm fans, “It’s going to be different, it’ll be awesome and exciting to see that fan support.

He’s already familiar with several Storm players. He played with Reid Wheeldon in Bantam and is good friends with Sheldon Brett and Logan Cursley.

In 14 games with Kirkland Lake, Keith had accumulated 5 points (1G 4A).
