"I’m intense on the ice, I’m a get in your face kind of player that plays fast and hard.” – Sheldon Brett

The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club have acquired 1996 born forward Sheldon Brett from the Comox Valley Glacier Kings for 1999 born forward Finn Withey and futures.

Storm General Manager, Lee Stone, thinks highly of the new acquisition, “Sheldon is the type of player teams hate to play against, but love to have as a teammate. His speed, skill and grit are a scary combination for any team in the VIJHL.” He adds, “We are thrilled to have Sheldon and see how excited he is to be a part of the Storm family.”

Brett has played in over 200 Junior hockey games since his debut as an AP for the Glacier Kings in 2011/12. A member of the BCHL Trail Smoke Eaters for two seasons, he has averaged .7 points per game in Junior.

“I want to be one of the top end players on this team and in this league; I want to make an impact,” says Brett.

In Finn Withey, the Glacier Kings are getting a talented young forward, who demonstrated as a Midget last season that he has a flair for the net. He scored some beautiful goals including the game winning goal that gave his Whistler Winterhawks the Gold Medal at the Provincials. In six games as an AP with the Campbell River Storm, Withey picked up two points.
