Storm fans can expect a two-way player with a defensive mind, who plays with an edge.” – Reid Wheeldon

The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce the commitment of 1998 born forward Reid Wheeldon for the upcoming 2016-17 season.

Storm General Manager/Head Coach, Lee Stone, looks forward to the impact the former Comox Valley Minor Hockey player will have on the team, “He’s a guy that skates very well and is not very much fun to play against.” At 5’8”, 160 pounds, he won’t be the biggest player on the ice but he’ll play tough. Stone adds, “He’s probably going to get hard minutes against some of the other teams’ top lines. I feel sorry for anybody that will have to play against him and Aaron Brewer on a line.”

Wheeldon played with the Okanagan Hockey Academy of the CSSHL (Canadian Sport School Hockey League) and accumulated 25 points in 25 games (10 goals, 15 assists).

I committed to the Storm because the team has proven success, a great coaching staff and strong community support", says Wheeldon.
