The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce that 1997 born Trevor Bottomley will be returning to the club folllowing a trade with the Osoyoos Coyotes. In return, the KIJHL club reacquired the rights to Ryan Morrell (1997) and future considerations.

Bottomley first joined the Storm in the 2014-15 season and was part of the Keystone Cup championship run. Last year, he was the MVP in the successful Cyclone Taylor Cup Bronze Medal game.

I think he’s one of the best defencemen in Junior B hockey,” said General Manager Lee Stone adding, “Trevor wanted to come back and play here so we did everything we could to make that happen”.

The fan-voted favourite from two seasons ago is pleased to be back with the Storm, “It feels amazing. Every year here is a good time, the group is amazing, really close and the fans come out and show their support.

Last season, Bottomley scored three times and added 24 assists. He should be in the lineup on Friday against the Victoria Cougars.
