CAMPBELL RIVER, BC — The Campbell River Storm are proud to announce the re-signing of forward Ethan Hill for the 2026-27 season.
Hill, a right-handed forward born in 2008, is a hometown product who has suited up for the Storm for the past two seasons. Over 68 career regular season games, Hill has recorded 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points, adding to that with 19 games of VIJHL playoff experience. He is expected to join the team at the start of September.
“I re-signed with the Storm because it’s my home town team and it’s a great place to play Hockey,” said Hill. “The thing I enjoy the most about playing in CR is the fanbase, and all the support we get from the community. The best fans in the league!”
Hill is looking forward to building on last season’s success alongside a new group of teammates. “I’m excited to meet my new teammates and help push for a VIJHL championship!”
Storm Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone praised Hill’s growth and the opportunity to keep local talent in the program.
“It’s always great when you can provide local talent an opportunity to develop and succeed at home,” said Stone. “Ethan is ready to take the next step as a leader in this program and we are excited to see him take his game to another level.”
Stone also pointed to Hill’s physical, direct style of play as a key part of his offensive game. “He’s not afraid to get to the hard areas of the ice and consistently finds himself around the blue paint offensively.”
Looking ahead to the coming season, Stone made clear the expectations he holds for Hill. “I really do believe Ethan has the ability to be one of the best players in our league this year. I’m very excited to work him to help him fulfill his potential!”
