Dawson Brown Signed

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. — The Campbell River Storm are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born defenceman Dawson Brown from the Wenatchee Wild U18 Prep program. Brown recorded four goals and two assists for six points in 12 games last season. The smooth- skating, two-way defenceman has spent the past week skating with the Storm and will join the
club immediately. “Signing with the Storm means a lot,” said Brown. “It’s an honour to be able to stay close to home while playing junior hockey. “Choosing the Campbell River Storm was a no-brainer given the distance to home and how much they care as an organization. “I’d like to consider myself a two-way defenceman who likes to jump into the rush.” Storm Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone believes Brown’s skating ability and offensive instincts make him an excellent fit for the club. “Dawson is a very smooth-skating, skilled defenceman who fits the model we look for in a defenceman,” said Stone. “He fits in with our group and knows several of our current players, and that’s a really big key
for us. He understands how important family is to us and chose our program because of it.
“We think Dawson has the potential to play Junior A in the future, and we are excited to help
him take his game to the next level.”
The Campbell River Storm are excited to welcome Dawson and the Brown family to the
organization.
