Christiano Pelegrin-Hicks Signed

STORM SIGN GOALTENDER PELEGRIN-HICKS CAMPBELL RIVER, BC — The Campbell River Storm are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Cristiano “Crispy” Pelegrin-Hicks, born 2009, to the club. Pelegrin-Hicks spent the past two seasons with the Coquitlam HC 17U program, backstopping the club to a JPHL 17U Championship last season. “I signed with the Storm to pursue my dreams in hockey of playing at a junior level and to learn and improve as a person on and off the ice!” said Pelegrin-Hicks. “I’m really looking forward to playing at the junior level with the Storm; practicing my skills, meeting my teammates, and meeting my billet family!” “I really want to prove myself to my coaches, teammates, and the whole community of Campbell River,” he added. “I want to excel as a goalie and become a stronger, more independent person.” Storm Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone praised the addition, pointing to Pelegrin-Hicks’ character both on and off the ice. “Crispy is a great kid that fits into our room incredibly well,” said Stone. “At both our Combined Camp in May and our most recent SSHL Tournament he was a nonstop positive presence within the dressing room and around the arena.” “He loves being at the rink and really wants to take his game to the next level,” Stone continued. “I know Ryder (Lally) is a big fan of his game too and is excited to work with Crispy.” The Campbell River Storm compete in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) and play their home games at Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
