Aidan Yu Signed

CAMPBELL RIVER, BC – The Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) are proud to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Aidan Yu. Yu spent last season with the Wenatchee Wild U18 Prep CSSHL team, where he recorded 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points in 22 games. He added 3 assists in 3 playoff games. Yu plans to attend the Alberni Valley Bulldogs Main Camp in August. “I signed with the Campbell River Storm because I believe the organization offers the best support to help me develop into the best player I can be, both on and off the ice,” said Yu. “What I look forward to most about playing in Campbell River is the opportunity to contribute to the team every game by competing on both sides of the puck and doing whatever it takes to help the team succeed,” Yu added. “Fans can expect a 200-foot forward who likes to make plays and create offensive chances,” said Yu. “They can also expect a player who never takes a shift off and competes every single moment of the game.” Storm Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone praised Yu’s all-around game and offensive instincts. “Aidan is a very smart player that competes hard in all three zones, taking pride in his defensive game,” said Stone. “What separates Aidan is his offensive ability and how he sees the game offensively. He is a true playmaker that looks to make plays off the rush and in zone,” Stone continued. “He will do well at Alberni camp. He’s close…a player that should thrive at our level. We are very excited to welcome Aidan to the Storm organization!” said Stone.
